Multiple User Dining Table
Rod Northcutt: "My current work investigates the historical import and psychology of the various constructions of man through which we attempt to feed, shelter and ultimately observe and co-exist with other creatures. Multiple User Dining Table (M.U.D.T.) is more than simply a mechanism for the social control of consumption. I intend for it to exist as an archetype for intense micro-management of the three-time-daily ritual. Consider it not as an experimental apparatus, but more as a larger feeder for a small family in which the etiquette is locked in and utilitarian conversation will be able to flow freely in a secure, well-lighted, crumb-free environment without the unseemly distraction of setting inconsistency. Bon apetit, methodically."
