Art of Our Century is an exhibition showcasing art by alumni from the classes of 2000 through 2012. The show, which coincides with SMU’s centennial celebrations, features a broad range of creative work by 20 alumni, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and video. Art critic and Director of Fort Worth Contemporary Arts Christina Rees curates the exhibition, on view March 4–23, 2013. The opening reception is Friday, March 8 from 5-7pm.

Stephen Lapthisophon receives 2012 Moss/Chumley Artist Award

The Meadows Museum announces that Stephen Lapthisophon is the recipient of the 2012 Moss/Chumley Artist Award. The award is given annually to an outstanding North Texas artist who has exhibited professionally for at least ten years and has a proven track record as a community advocate for the visual arts. Lapthisophon received the award on December 5, 2012 at an evening reception at the Meadows Museum. Congratulations to Stephen on this well deserved honor.
