Visions of an Insomniac
Visions of an Insomniac is an interdisciplinary exhibition of experimental works that explore the mysterious space between illusion and reality. The works will consist of large scale digital images juxtaposed with cast shadows and psycho-acoustic sound. A nonsensical environment will be created in the gallery that forges a relationship between visual and aural perception. The work will provide visitors entry into an imaginary world of whimsical creations that portray life on the lyrical and playful edge of balance and stability. Large-scale images, sound and projection will suggest a theatrical world that references the ridiculous, the tragic and the unexpected. The walls, floor and ceiling will be illuminated with experimental lighting techniques to create a sense of surprise and wonder.

Paul Greenberg
Museum Guards
Dallas photographer Paul Greenberg presents his series of panoramic views of museum interiors from around the world whose focal point begin with the museum guards that inevitably inhabit every museum gallery.
Paul Greenberg, known to many as a Dallas physician, is also a respected photographer whose works have been exhibited in curated shows across the state since the 1970’s. His work is the product of travels near and far, in which a keen eye for observing the juxtaposition of colliding cultures, life on urban street corners or the exotic landscape, draw the viewer to his photographs.

Kate Rivers
Nesting
The large format collages in Kate Rivers Nesting are the culmination of a recent artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center in November of 2008. As a metaphor for home and travel Rivers employs fragments of paper materials including maps, notes, cancelled stamps and book illustrations that weave and layer creating large nest forms isolated from any native landscape or setting. Kate Rivers lives and works in Ada, Oklahoma
