Susie Phillips
Seed Blossom Fruit
With the current exhibition, Seed Blossom Fruit, Susie Phillip's
continues her foray into the still life, choosing not to render her
objects with placid and calm imagery, but with a bold and skewed perspective
reminiscent of the later still lifes of Cézanne and Matisse.
Susie Phillip's flattened pictures, with neither foreground nor background,
but simply the surface of the work, indulge in romantic energy. In addition
to the pastels, the exhibition will also feature several small-scale
collages.

artist Kelly O'Connor will exhibit, Wonderland. This will be
the artist's first exhibition in Dallas.
O'Connor's use of appropriated Disney characters in her mixed media

such work, Kidnapped, Alice has been trapped in a net at the
top of a mountain by Pinocchio.
Kelly O'Connor is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin
and has shown recently at Gallery Urbane in Marfa, Texas, Blue Star
